Clearcost respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Clearcost India Pvt. Ltd. (“Clearcost”, “we”, “us”), Office address line, New Delhi 110001, India. For the purposes of Indian data protection law, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical information needed to run the website.

• Contact form: your name, email address, company, phone number, the services you are interested in, and your message.
• Newsletter sign-up: your email address and the page you signed up from.
• Technical data: your IP address and the date and time of your submission, stored with the form data to help us prevent spam and abuse. Our web server may also keep standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested).

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

3. How we use it

We use your personal data, on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form, to:

• reply to your enquiry and arrange a cost review or consultation;
• send you our newsletter with cost insights, if you subscribed;
• keep the website secure and protect it from spam and misuse;
• meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Sharing your data

We share personal data only where needed to run our business, and never for third-party marketing:

• Service providers who host this website and deliver our email, acting on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities where we are required to do so by law, court order or a lawful government request.

Some of our service providers may store data outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data stays protected and is transferred only as permitted by Indian law.

5. Cookies and third parties

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. To display the site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and some images from Unsplash. When it does, those providers receive your IP address and basic browser information, under their own privacy policies:

If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records as long as our engagement and legal obligations require.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your email address.
• Server logs: up to 90 days.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your personal data, including restricted access to stored submissions and encrypted connections to our email provider. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but if a personal data breach occurs we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

• ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data;
• ask us to erase your personal data;
• withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it);
• nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so;
• raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.
